EXPAND THE LIFE SPAN OF YOUR PROJECTOR LAMP
Most people like to unplug and go immediately after the presentation is finished but projector lamps reach extremely high temperatures and need to be cooled by ventilators. If the power is disconnected immediately at the end of a presentation the ventilation suddenly stops, the lamp cannot be cooled down properly and you risk damaging the lamp. It was for this very reason that Panasonic invented the lamp protection circuit Direct Power Off. Thus extending the life span of the lamp. A small sensor measures the temperature of the lamp and the internal temperature of the projector. If the external power supply is suddenly cut off, a capacitor will run the ventilation until the lamp has cooled down. When the machine restarts the capacitor reloads automatically, ready for action.
