The P1SD gives you a fantastic way to enjoy the photos you take. Just remove the card from your camera and slip it into the card slot to project clear, bright, beautiful photos on a huge screen. You'll find the P1SD easy to use even if you're not mechanically inclined and have never used a projector before. *For a LCD projector, as of January 2006.

You can select any of the effects shown below for transition between slides. These effects give your slide show a more polished and interesting appearance. You can also choose the time interval between slides, from Fast (3 seconds), Normal (5 seconds) and Slow (10 seconds).

The Direct SD Card Projection function takes all the trouble out of operation. Simply aim the P1SD at the screen and plug the power cord into an outlet. When you slip an SD Memory Card into the card slot, the P1SD automatically turns on, ready to display digital still images* or motion pictures** with sound. To display an image, just select it from the thumbnails using the supplied remote control. If you like, you can view all the photos in a folder as a slide show.

**Only QuickTime Motion JPEG files recorded with a Panasonic LUMIX digital camera.

By using your Panasonic LUMIX digital camera in advance to indicate specific shots with a checkmark in DPOF* form, you can create a slide show of your favorite images. *DPOF: Digital Print Order Format

This function works together with the Auto Angle Detection on Panasonic LUMIX digital cameras to automatically detect and rotate vertically framed shots so they are projected correctly. There is no need to manually switch the direction for each differently framed shot.

One of the Picture Modes, Photo Mode optimally reproduces digital still camera images. Panasonic's original resizing circuit compresses and displays high-resolution images such as 8-megapixel shots taken with a digital still camera, while minimizing data loss. This makes it possible to faithfully reproduce fine details, such as a single strand of hair. *Applicable only to images input from an SD Memory Card.

The sound from still images and moving pictures recorded with an audio track is simultaneously played. Naturally, the sound from external video equipment is also played. Plus, you can turn the sound on or off as desired.
